Benefits of Massachusetts Hearing Society Membership

Membership in the Massachusetts Hearing Society ("MHS") allows you to take an active role in the profession that you selected.  MHS provides a unified voice on a state level and representation in the International Hearing Society.

MHS membership includes access to all industry information through the website and other electronic and paper transmissions forwarded to members throughout the year. As a member you will receive email updates on current events, reminders of important industry and associate dates and deadlines, detailed explanation of regulatory issues affecting your license that allow you to remain in compliance with state laws and regulations affecting your profession, updates on bills before the Massachusetts legislature that could affect your license and your livelihood, analysis of legislation and instructions on how to become involved in the legislative and regulatory process. MHS is your lifeline to information about the New England dispensing industry.

MHS schedules regular continuing education courses required for license renewal. All MHS members receive a discount at all MHS-sponsored continuing education classes.

MHS membership provides a sharing of information, communication and cooperation with other hearing instrument specialists and hearing healthcare professionals. By raising the standards of care practiced by hearing instrument specialists, membership lends credibility to every professional.

MHS membership allows you to meet other dispensers and suppliers. Networking will teach you more about the profession than any other educational tool available. MHS membership is your opportunity to meet others in the New England hearing healthcare industry that can help you in your daily business. The Society's annual convention, CEU programs, social events and other membership meetings are specifically designed to get members together to discuss problems and issues affecting your profession.

The contacts you make through the MHS will prove invaluable over the years.
